Library and Hospitality - a place to feel at home

With its Chapel, Library and Salone, the Anglican Centre in Rome provides a vital place of meeting, conversation and dialogue. 

Dr Rowan Williams, Archbishop of Canterbury, has spoken of the role of the Anglican Centre thus:

“The Anglican Centre is increasingly a place of meeting not only for Anglicans and Roman Catholics, but for Anglicans of different backgrounds. At a time when there are not all that many places where it is possible to take time and care to discuss contentious issues in our Anglican family affairs, the Centre is a profoundly hospitable environment for this. It will help Anglicans understand one another and their common heritage as a necessary aspect of engaging with other Christian traditions and confessions.

Hospitality is at the heart of this, and David and Margie Richardson have wonderfully continued the legacy of welcome that has always characterised the Centre. More and more, it is a crucial resource for strengthening our own Anglican identity as well as interpreting it to others, and seeks to be somewhere where all members of our very diverse family can feel at home.”
