Visit to the Migrants and Refugees Section of the Dicastery for Integral Human Development. The Director of the ACR, The Most Reverend Ian Ernest was warmly welcomed by Cardinal Michael Czerny S.J. Father Fabio Baggio C.S. in the presence of Ms Flaminia Vola, the Regional Coordinator for Western Europe, at the Dicastery on the 13th of October 2020. A spirit of friendship prevailed all through the meeting and there has been an assurance for continuing the collaboration already established between our two institutions. His Eminence offered documents and books treating on “Pastoral Orientations on internally displaced people”. We also referred to the last Encyclical letter of Pope Francis, “Fratelli Tutti” and to the comment of the Most Reverend Justin Welby that this “letter is a truly “ecumenical document “which sets out a vision which even non-believers can subscribe to.” Very fruitful discussions that will hopefully help us to consolidate our work together.
