Dear Friends and supporters of the Anglican Centre in Rome,

I’m delighted to invite you and your guests to this year’s Annual Friends Lecture and Reception which, due to the transport strikes in London, will now be held online on Wednesday 23rd November, at 6pm.

We are delighted that Fr Tony Currer, currently in his final weeks of leading the Vatican’s work on relations with Anglicans and Methodists, has agreed to give this year’s lecture.

His talk “Anglicans, Catholics and Authority – ARCIC, the Lambeth Conference and the Synodal Process” takes place just as the Catholic Church has been engaged in its first ever structured global listening project in preparation for the Synod to be held in Rome later this year. He will also speak to us about his time in Rome over the last four years, and the current work of the Anglican/Roman Catholic dialogue.

Tony is a good friend to many of us, and a keen supporter of the work of the Centre. His presentation will be followed by time for questions, and the webinar will conclude by 7.00pm.
