The Director of the Anglican Centre in Rome, Archbishop Ian Ernest,  writes:

"It is customary on the occasion of Christmas and Easter that His Grace, the Most Reverend Justin Welby, Archbishop of Canterbury sends an Ecumenical letter to His Holiness Pope Francis. As the Personal Representative of the Archbishop of Canterbury to the Holy See, it is my role and responsibility to send it to the Papal Household. Even though that we are in confinement, this most important letter has been sent to the Pontifical Council for Promoting Christian Unity for its dispatching. I am thankful that in these unusual times our Church Leaders can inspire, lead and comfort the people of all nations facing this traumatic experience of Covid19.”
