Annual Friends' Lecture

Archbishop Ian was the guest speaker at the Friends' Annual Lecture held on the 15 of November at the Chapel Royal, St James's Palace. The host Rev. Canon Dr Paul Wright, the Sub-Dean of The Chapel Royal welcomed those present and gave a brief history of the role and responsibilities of the Chapel Royal.  

The Chair of the UK Friends,  Rev. Canon Dr. James Hawkey, Canon Theolgian at Westminster Abbey, was the moderator and offered the note of thanks.

During Archbishop Ian's trip to London he also met with the staff from the Anglican Communion Office and the senior Librarian of the Lambeth Palace Library and Ms Julia King to work on an intended project of a digital exhibition and online cataloguing of the John Moorman Library.
